After being in lockdown for the last month and a half here in Cyprus we’re slowly starting to come out on the other side. However tricky, the lockdown journey, made us appreciate the simple small things and perhaps try a different, slower pace of life.
I for instance am very appreciative of every minute of being out and about with my camera even if it’s just photographing horses and trees. Above all, I am of very much looking forward to photographing clients again very soon. The shoot here, is of a local family that had just celebrated their ten year anniversary. Vera and Willem, who are originally from Danemark are blessed with four beautiful and boisterous boys. Photographing them presented a fun challenge with lots of surprises and laughs along the way.
As is customary with my family shoots, we played games and gave everybody something to do, so all went very smoothly. The local Mouttagiaka landscape provides for some beautiful backdrop with views of the sea and down into the Germasogeia valley. It’s scarcely populated so we have beautiful fields all around with ever changing colors- from lush green with bright yellow flowers in early spring, to purple flowers to now, the slightly burned out grass/hay dotted with evergreen olive trees.
Whatever the season and whatever the environment beauty is all around us, we just need to look.
